Abstract

|
This study aims to establish new qualification-required items in the health and medical service area to facilitate job creation. We have gone through six steps of development procedures to establish new qualifications in health service industry. Subject items of new qualifications were identified through studies on documentations and expert consultations. Also qualification standards (demands of the service, job specialty, necessity of capability acknowledgement, job creation possibility) were prepared, and a survey research was conducted on experts of the area. The newly identified qualifications in health and medical service area in accordance with the procedures and standards are speech pathologist, anatomical pathology technician, exercise specialist, clinical perfusionist, acupuncture and moxibustion therapist, alcohol and drug counselor, chiropractitioner, optometrist, surgery assistant, respiratory therapist, psychologist¡¯s assistant, massagist, regulatory affairs officer, smoking cessation counselor, and chiropodist.
